Unexpected changes

A program that I wanted to run required .NET 1.1 so I
downloaded and installed it from the XP Update site.
On restarting, I now have to log on. Huh?
I discovered that I have a New User: ASP.NET. As I don't
know where that came from, I saved the files and deleted
the User.
Have I done the right thing?

Thanks

It is part of the update.
I do not know the cons\equences of erasing the user in normal use.

theres no consequence, the user is just there. Its not of
any importance, so you can delete it if you want.

No. But it probably doesn't matter as it's for a web server. What you should have done is type in Start Run
control userpasswords2

and clear the box that says Users Must Enter A Name And Password

Thanks for the help Kevin, Shenan and David. I can go home
and set things right.
