unencrypted password

I have a 2000 pro box and I 'am trying to connect to a
unix box that uses plain text password security. How do I
configure win 2000 to send unencrypted password to the
unix box

In the security tab of the connectoid property, (Go to Network connections
folder, right click and click on properties), Click on advanced (custom
settings).
In the Data Encryption combo box, choose optional encryption. Make sure that
'Allow these protocols' radio button is selected and that 'unencrypted
password (PAP)' is chekced.
