Access Encryption

We have an access 2007 database that is encrypted. When we open it it asks us
for a password as we expect. But sometimes we need to unencrypt it. Normally
we open the database as exclusive, database tools, unencrypt. Now only the
"encrypt with password" option is available and it won't accept any password
as valid. Any ideas? Thanks, Steve Bruster

I tested with Access 2007, service pack 2. I am able to repeatedly
encrypt and unencrypt the same accdb format database. So I can't see
the behavior you described.

Is your problem limited to a single accdb database, or any database you
try?

Thanks, it's just with one database and it's something that has worked fine
for the last 9 months successfully with that databse. I have backup copies
that work fine, but this copy is causing problems

FWIW this can be a sign of corruption.
