undo is not activated

in normal excel operation the undo and redo function are not operational. how
can they be activated?
 
Hi,

I'm not aware of any way to switch this on/off using a menu option but if it
isn't working for you it may be that you have a macro running which would
clear the undo stack and make it appear as if it was disabled.

Macros will clear the Undo stack.

Have you any macro or event code that may be interfering?
