installed autosave function and now have issue with redo function

I am using Excel 2000. I installed the auto-save function today and set it
for every 10 minutes, with the prompt before saving box checked because I
know that when I save, my undo and redo functions will not work. So after
installing I began working on a spreadsheet. During that time the autosave
prompt showed up and I clicked cancel. After clicking cancel, my redo
function disappeared, but my undo function stayed active. Even after I undid
an entry, my redo would not reactivate. The only way to get it active was to
close my spreadsheet and reopen it.

Could anyone give me some advice on what to do so I don't lose my redo
function? The only thing I can think of is to disable the auto-save but that
seems like defeating the purpose of having it installed.

Thanks.

When Excel saves a workbook, it clears the redo stack. Doesn't matter if
you save manually or if VBA saves for you.

I've decided I feel better if I lose redo but keep AutoSafe (not the
Microsoft Autosave, but a third party program by Jan Karel Pieterse at
http://jkp-ads.com).

The stack loss I understand, that happens when the file is saved. But if I
type something new in, undo functionality comes back, redo functionality does
not, so it isn't the problem that I lose my previous keystrokes, but that I
lose the ability completely to redo.

BTW,there is a problem with searching for my posts in the forum. I tried to
search using my name, like I have done before, but only old cases came up in
the forum, this one didn't, which made me think it didn't get posted, so you
will probably see two other posts on this issue. Sorry about that.
