Excel automatically does undo on my worksheet

When entering data on an Excel 2003 worksheet, when I pause the system does
an undo, and sometimes several levels of undo. I know it is an undo as I can
hit redo and get the data back. The only way I can stop this is to save after
every edit.

Is there a way to stop this automatic undo? I've noticed it in Internet
Exporer too.

I am not an expert, but that sounds more like spyware or a virus! If this is
happening is just excel then maybe a macro hiccup, but for it to happen in IE
as well, I would do a system scan to make sure that is not the case. Be
careful.
