my computer has a windows xp home edition operating system
and working as usally when i have electrical accident (the
power line shut down), my hardrive patition has two as c:\
drive for systems and d:\ for database.
after that i turn on the compputer again and before i can
log on into it, the system check all the disk (C: & D:
Drive), and then i can log on to my system.
But the problem that i found is my d:\ drive data has been
coruupted include some of directory and subdirectory, and
there is a folder "FOUND"(i sure that all of my lost data
is in it) contain the files name FileXXXX.CHK which has a
diferent size (i've lost my data about 5Gb and the folder
data contain FileXXXX.chk has a size of my lost data)
How can i restore my data from "FOUND" folder and it's
file to original locations & it's conditions? Can i undeo
the checkdisk just like on windows'98 on scandisk repair
when scandisk will make changes? can i get my data back
without any loose information? please help me ..... !

The solution is not to undo the disk repairs. Instead it is to get a battery
backup solution. What happened when you restarted the pc was chkdsk ran and
found broken chains/ lost clusters, then created *.chk files of them so you
can delete
them and regain the otherwise lost drive space. They're not really meant to
be recoverable files, you can go ahead and delete the files to regain the
lost space. You can open them with a text editor and attempt to copy the
parts you need to another file.
