Undetected hardware on Pentium III (Abit VA6 motherboard)

I'm trying to install Belkin's wireless adaptor on my
computers (F5D7000). Whereas I am successfull on Pentium
4, I cannot install it on Pentium III computer, as it's
simply does not detects the new PCI card. The card is
functional as I exchnaged it with the other computer. I
am running the same Win XP OS on both computers.
What could be a problem? PCI slot version on Pentium III
is 2.1 and it's supported by the PCI card. I am going
nuts over this, so please, your input is welcome!

Thanks

Strangely enough, all PCI slots are not identical. Try
putting the cards in in a different order.

Did you install the F5D7000 setup software first before putting the card
in the computer, as advised by the manual?
