I like to share.

Vista Ultimate RC2 runs fine on my old PIII box including Aero.
Also ReadyBoost works with a Qmotion 512Mb Pen drive.

My config:

Pentium III 800Mhz with BX chipset (bus overclocked from 100Mhz to 133Mhz)
Memory 768Mb Sdram 133Mhz
Promise Fatsrack100 raid 0 (two 40G drives)
Nvidia Geforce 6200 with 256 Mb AGP
Belkin Hi-Speed USB2.0 PCI card
Ralink Wireless RT61+RT2500 PCI card
Creative Soundblaster Live! Platinum PCI Card

All above cards are working fine, Its slower then XP, but is is very usable,
special ReadyBoosts is speeding it up. I use this box primarly for
development with Visual Studio 2005

My performance index:

Processor 1.7
Memory 1.8
Graphics 4.2
Gaming graphics 3.0
Primary disk 5.9

Relatively fast for everyday use, include running X windows, Microsoft
Office 2007 beta, Visio 2007 beta, Visual Studio 2005 and Internet Explorer.
Windows Explore tolerably, watching a movie on Windows Media slow, but
useable. I haven't tried any 3d games on this system.

I don't think the Performance Index compare well between systems. Use your
judgement when comparing numbers.

System hardware.

Pentium 4 1.7 Ghz (overclocked 1.9 Ghz)
Memory 1Gb Sdram 333
ATA 100 IDE Drive
Nvidia Geforce 6200 with 128 Mb 4x AGP

Performance index:

Processor 2.8
Memory 4.1
Graphics 2.3
Gaming graphics 3.0
Primary disk 5.2
