Underlined icons in Windows Explorer

Hi all, my problem is this:
I changed the folder options in Windows Explorer to make folders and
files open with only one click. The problem is, although I check the
option to underline their names only when I hover the cursor on them,
they're ALWAYS underlined. I go back over and over to 'Folder options'
and it's the other option that is checked. I check the right one, the
hour glass thing drags on and on, closes, and then there are the icons
still underlined!
It's really annoying. I don't wanna get my arms sore from clicking too
much but the underlining is straining my eyes instead!
The strange thing is, this doesn't happen in the administrator account,
only in my limited user account. I've tweaked this account a lot
(placing 'My Documents' and 'Application Data' in a separate partition
for instance), so I'd like to know where these preferences are stored
(in the registry? In one of the many desktop.ini files?) and change them
manually if necessary. Any suggestion?

Try this. Instead of using the link to Folder Options in Windows Explorer,
go to Control Panel > Classic View, and right-click on Folder options.
Choose Run as Administrator to make your changes.

It didn't help. I even logged off and on as administrator. The Folder
Options were right, as expected. Anyway, isn't this feature set for each
different user account?
