Under Account Properties "Connections" not working

When I go to TOOLS, ACCOUNT, PROPERTIES - and try to see "CONNECTIONS" my
system hangs and eventually says Windows Mail not responding - Close? What
do I need to do? Can I download a new Windows Mail. My problem is when I
try to send or receive it asks for a dialup connection and I don't have one.
I want it to connect on my wireless connection??????? I am using Windows
Mail 6.0.6000.16386 and vista_rtm 061101-2205.

It means that your mail account is corrupt. Delete ('Remove') it, restart
Windows Mail, then recreate the account.

However, the problem will come back eventually unless you configure
your antivirus to forgo scanning of emails, and/or upgrade to
Windows Live Mail: http://download.live.com/wlmail

What anti-virus application or security suite is installed and is your
subscription current? What anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)?
What third-party firewall (if any)?

Has a(another) Norton or McAfee application ever been installed on this
machine (e.g., a free-trial version that came preinstalled when you bought
it)?

Why isn't Vista SP1 and SP2 installed yet?

I use Windows Live OneCare and yes, there was a McAfee application on this
machine before that I paid for it to be current. I no longer use it. The
OneCare is supposed to check for updates weekly and install them immediately.

I think what happened is I was using a broadband card for the last three
weeks and when I got home it would not work with my DSL line. I did as
suggested; deleted and recreated my account and all is well.

Thanks so much for you help!!
