undeliverable mail

I have been trying to send emails to the same people I have for years through
outlook, now I get an email from system administrator stating undeliverable.
error code 503valid RCPT <recipient> must precede Data

I have to go to system restore to a certain date, then it only works for a
couple days and then I have the same problem again. Have not changed
anything at all.

Help I am a Realtor and need computor all day

If you have an antivirus program scanning mail, disable that feature. To
disable that feature, some AV programs (like those from Symantec) require
uninstalling and reinstalling without the mail scanning features in order to
truly disable them, despite the AV program stating they're disabled.

I have done this and am using this new free program called AVG which my
computer tech recommended as it is free. I had Mcafee and had nothing but
problems for a year and had to pay for help.

I, too, use AVG, but I don't let it scan mail.

Please tell me how to do this. I dont do computer stuff well, except for
Real Estate. I have had a tech out 3 times and it gets worse. In fact I
could of bought a new one with what I have paid him. Dont you want your
emails to be scanned for protection purposes? Why all of a sudden has this
started as I have had AVG for about a month or more. I have the free
version. Would you recommend buying the package?

Thanks for your responses. Its nice to talk to someone and get their
opinions and help.

Open AVG's control program, select the email scanning agent, and change its
properties to "disabled".

For inbound mail, it provides marginal additional protection that is simply
not worth the communication hassles and doesn't add a shred of outbound
protection.

I have the free version.

I, too, use the free version and I, while I don't scan mail with it, I have
heard of very FEW problems for those who do use the mail scanning feature.
However, it's always good to eliminate variables when one is trying to
diagnose a problem.

If you want to be able to consult Grisoft when an issue occurs or believe
that paying for the product will be of mutual benefit (like keeping the
company in business so you don't have to find another AV vendor), then sure.
If you trust them to keep the free version up-to-date and don't think you'll
ever need their assistance, it's up to you.
