Undeleting software problem

My Problem;

1) I installed a software application (dgis.exe) all worked fine.
2) I deleted dgis.exe installation from explorer...
3) Now I want to reinstall and windows says it must be uninstalled first
4) The program appears in control panel, ad/delete (I cannot delete it from there because it says it is missing unist...)

( I have run regedit and deleted every part of it I could find there?)

Q: How to I clean the add/delete in windows xp?

The easiest way to fix this is to find another copy of the program, install it, perhaps restart the computer, and then uninstall it from the control panel. Also try using a good registry cleaner and see if it finds any more pieces of trash in the registry that you might have missed.
