Undelete???

Hello all. A data folder containing aproximately 4gb of
info has disappeared from my hard drive. I did a hard
drive scan check and the drive checks out ok. I scanned
for viruses and that checked out ok. The folder was
there last night because I was working in it. I've
searched the entire computer, but I can't find it. Is
there a way to undelete folders of that size???? Thanks

Restore from backup. If you don't have a backup, I'm sure you're starting
to think that you should have.

I take it you've checked the recyle bin? When you're searching, are you
making sure to search hidden files and folders and system folders? The
option to do so is unser the 'More advanced options' in the search window.

Hi Chris -

First, avoid any activity on the computer if possible, since any disk
write operations can overwrite the files you want to recover.

Second, do a Google search for "undelete" and you'll see several
utilities that should be able to get the lost files back for you, as
long as they have not been overwritten yet.
