Thanks for your reply. But I was referring to OL2000 and not OLExpress.If the message store (.dbx files) have not yet been compacted, try
DBxtract or DBxpress.

If deleted item retention was enabled on the mail store (as is recommended),
and you're within the timeframe, use tools | recover deleted items.
If not, you'd have to ask your Exchange admin to restore Windows & Exchange
Server from backup to a spare/recovery server, export your mailbox to PST,
and then copy that message to your mailbox. He or she may mumble very
unpleasant things about you at this point, so I do recommend avoiding it.
It's a very good idea to enable deleted item retention - I do 30 days,
usually.

Recover
Deleted Items option. It is permanently deleted. Period.
