I have a database in Access 2000 that I want on my co-workers computer. She
needs to make changes to it. I used Nero and burned the database to a CD-RW.
I opened the CD-RW and right clicked on the Access file and unchecked the
Read-Only box, but a box pops up telling me I can't do that and it makes it
read-only again. Can someone please help?! I'm very new to Access. Thank
you.

It will not work from the CD you need to copy it to her HD.

On the other hand if you have a LAN, splitting it and putting it on the
server is likely to be a much more satisfactory solution.

Thank you very much. Two more questions. How do I copy it from the CD-RW to
her hard drive? I think I know how, but want to make sure. Also, we have a
Neighborhood Network (we can share files) - is that what you mean by LAN?
How do you split and put it on the server? Thank you so much for your help!

Yes, that does sound like a LAN. Access does require a good LAN or it
will not work reliably on it. I would check with whoever is your computer
person or the help desk if you are involved in a large facility to make sure
that your LAN will handle Access.
