You call telling someone to buy new hardware a solution?
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a whole lot cheaper than Retail Vista Ultimate at over 800 US
Dollars. For that money, you could not only buy a new video card, you
could buy a new computer!

Alias

Yup, and that's about how many distros a business would have to support to
get all their desktops up and running.

Or they can use ONE windows distro.

Hum...........choices, choices, choices...

B.S. Most businesses would have a couple of different systems cloned many
times. And most Linux distros work perfectly on any system that is not
'bleeding edge' and 'designed for vista'. Why does there continue to be
this apples and eggs comparison (not apples and oranges - at least they
are both fruits) saying that installing Linux is more difficult than
running MS? In my experience installing Linux is easier than installing MS
on 90% of computers and running Linux is no more difficult than running MS
- just a little different.

Second insult:

I have a "real" name. It's just none of your business. For all we know
your real name is Harry Pusey.

Spain has an extradition treaty with the USA. Oops.

Third lying insult:

I repeat, ad hominem attacks seem to be all you have.

Alias

I agree, alias needs to get a freakin life.

Oh brother. I can’t believe you had the balls to cough up that one!

To recap before I waste my time searching.

1. You claimed that Spain has NO pot.

No, I said I haven't seen any worthy of the name.
Then I catch you later claiming
you know people that grow it (in Spain) AFTER I post proof that pot is
legal in Spain.

Actually, possession is legal for personal use. Sales are not.
2. I mentioned you did drugs and you called that a LIE. Then I posted a
QUOTE from you stating that haven't done pot since 1989. Another lie.

I haven't done pot since 89. You're lying (again).

Next?

??? Smoking pot again? You don't have to buy Ultimate and if your country
charges you $800 USD for it then, oh well!

Either way your "solution" is still BS.

So that's why you don't use you're real name?
Frank

No, it isn't and I doubt very seriously that the authorities read this
newsgroup to catch criminals. And how, pray tell, would you know if what
I use is real or not? How do we know your name is Frank? For all we
know, your real name is Harry Pusey.

Ease of use was not the issue. One distro would not be enough to install
linux on my hardware base. Two, three...not enough. Yes, 369 distros was a
joke however it’s MUCH MORE then one.

Wrong.

Actually, possession is legal for personal use. Sales are not.

Very good, so I was able to teach you something after all. I guess we wont
see you claim there is no pot in Spain any more.

I haven't done pot since 89. You're lying (again).

??? Did you even read that? Wow! You are so fried it's sad.

So when someone proves you are a liar all you can do is call them a liar?

Damn, you are way to easy.

Your solution is to give up, throw in the towel, be a *loser*.

Most manors are pretty decent and expensive. Vista has problems with some
nVidia cards and you know it, liar.

So now you're going to call every sentence from everyone a lie? Lame. My
statement can't be a lie because it doesn't claim anything.

Vista does NOT have problems with hardware. Drivers might. Thanks for
falling for that one.
I've never made that claim. Linux won't work with winmodems, for example.
Linux has a hard time with Lexmark printers, another example.

Regardless of that, no Vista user or fanboy goes around saying Vista works
with everything. Even YOU have claimed that linux works with EVERYTHING you
have installed it on. In itself that might be true but you use it against
Vista as to point out that linux works on everything and Vista doesn't.

The bottom line is that most (if not all) of your comments are pointless.
You say things like linux works on all your hardware as if that's supposed
to mean something. It doesn't.

Did the two of you get your jollies off by making fun of the other kids'
names when you were in grade school?

Alias

However, the fact that you take offense to it tells us just how emotionally
vested you are in linux.

OK,
So I did finally install Ubuntu (Hi Alias...), and now I have a dual-boot
scenario with Vista HP/Ubuntu.

And I'm also currently posting on the Ubuntu forum for help configuring my
wireless.

Having Vista and Ubuntu together is kind of like having the Odd Couple
manage your computer.

Could get interesting,....Frank

1. I like how you completely dropped the issue on your posted BS and can't
actually address my post.

2. Who gave up on anything? I think that pot is making you hallucinate.
