Unable to use the address search window to search.

When I use the search function of the IE6, I get the "Page cannot be
displayed", error message. I have reset all options to default with no
success. It gives the same message when I type in an address also. My
favorites list works, as does the MSN search bar. Google works also. Any
suggestions? It seems to have happened after I downloaded SP2. I tried to
restore to an earlier point without success. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
First check for malware. Work through the solutions (CWShredder, Ad-aware,
Spybot) at
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm Also note the security tips on that
page.

Then, if necessary, try the fix on line 229- Set IE Search to Default at
