unable to use "Disk Management"

when i go into "Disk Management" i always get the error
message "The system cannot find the file specified." and
in the "Disk Management" window it says "Unable to
connect to Logical Disk Manager service". why won't it
connect? please help! thanks! i use windows xp home
edition if that matters.

Hi,

Type SERVICES.MSC at Star>Run and scroll down the list and make sure that
the Logical Disk Manager service is running and set to Automatic startup.
You will get those kinds of error messages if the service has been disabled.

While you are there, also make sure that the Logical Disk Manager
Administrative Service is set to manual startup.
