I can't update either. It says I have the wrong diskette in the drive.
Strange, since itn doesn't come on a diskette or CD.

Same problem here. The latest version automatic updated twice, no problem,
now it says the wrong diskette is in the drive. Insert %2 (volume serial #:
%3) into drive %1.
GRRRRR......When can we depend on this to auto update with no more
problems? It takes so much computer time trying to keep WD updated.

I'm getting this same exact error, FWIW.

Hello: I D/L a few updates on the 25th and one was the latest definitions for
Defender. After attempting several times and it failing, there was obviously
an issue. To cure it on my machines I un-installed Defender and re-installed
the progg. It took the new definitions and all appears to be fine. If
you need to take this action don't forget to reset your personal settings.
M$ needs to address this, NOW.

I have previously managed to update Windows Defender with a little help from
Windows Cleanup Installer, but this time I had to use that trick: remove and
re-install Windows Defender. At first definitions were about 90 days old, but
there weren´t any really problems to update. Now it is working well, but
let´s see what happens when the next new definitions will come...I guess we
have to take it as an intellectual challenge!
