Unable to start in Safe mode!

Hello, all of a sudden I cannot start my computer in safe mode! After the F8
key I get the following message:

IRQL_ NOT_LESS_OR _EQUAL

0X0000000A (0XF8AD9354, 0X000000FF, 0X00000001, 0X804E5CF6)

There is no mention of any specific driver

I have not installed any new hardware or software or made any changes to my
system. The system is clear of viruses (Norton 2004) as well as spyware
(adaware and Spybot)
The computer starts fine in normal mode however it takes quite a bit of time
to shut down. Please help!

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried this but unfortunately it did not solve
the problem.

I had the same symptoms. My culprit was Nero's latest version of INCD
which is 4.3.0.0. Uninstalled and went back to an earlier version.
Gained back my safe mode. The problem was created when I upgraded to
SP2!

Thanks so much for the suggestion. Yes, I do have INCD 4.3.0.0 and will
revert
back to an earlier version. This was driving me crazy!
By the way I noticed that Nero has released a newer version of INCD. Maybe
that is to solve the problems but I am not taking any more chances!
