Unable to set up new Internet Connection

A

Alan Medows

I have a Xircom combined LAN and Modem in my laptop but everytime I tried to
create a new Internet connection XP only allows me to select the DSL
connection rather than the Dial-up connection. The dial-up connection is
greyed out.
I went into the control panel and system and checked that I had the drivers
set for the modem correctly and even queried the modem to ensure its working
OK but still I can't select a dial-up internet connection.
Please can anybody suggest what I may be doing wrong.
