unable to send faxes

when i send fax , i am receiving error message that no
dial tone, how can i rectify that.

Try hooking a phone up to modem in the jack that says
phone. For this to work the line from the wall needs to
be hooked in to the jack that says line. If you don't
have a dial tone there you might have a bad jack in the
wall or the modem or a bad line.
