unable to send excel documents as attachments

I am not able to send a specific excel document as an attachment, when I
click the email button nothing happens. I don't want to send the whole file
just one document, is this a settings issue with windows mail or with my
excel program.

This is very frustrating, outl;ook worked fine, and now I have windows
vista, and windows mail eveything works fine except I cannot send Word .doc
attachments through email, they seem to go ok, be even when I send them to
myself the doc doesn't open, "cannot be found" I don't understand it. It is
really hampering my business.

Make sure the file you are attaching is not open in
another program.

Make sure attachments are enabled:
Tools, Safety Options, Security, uncheck "Block images..." and also
uncheck "Do not allow attachments..."

If no improvement, which antivirus are you running? Some of them
are not fully compatible with Windows Mail.
