The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
'(e-mail address removed)' on 10/17/2006 4:08 PM
550 not local host aol.com, not a gateway

I thought maybe it was an aol issue but then I tried sending to a yahoo
address and received the same message. Any suggestions?

Hi,

Yahoo, Hotmail and AOL are enforcing rDNS or blocking dynamic business IPs

Are you a home user or sending thru a server, If the latter and sending via
DNS may need to send via SMTP smart host.( your ISP server)

Seeing alot of problems in the industry... Even my company can't send to
AOL, seeing as we dont accept AOL, Yahoo or Hotmail we aint bovered...lol

See here for AOL guidelines

Thank you for your response. I can send from my email address but the address
I am having a problem with is for one of my employees. I have mcafee running
on that computer and I changed the email scanning settings, then this problem
started. Should I consider uninstalling and reinstalling office just to make
it easier?

LOL... and I thought my info was the solution.... ;-)

Is this Mcafee 8.0i virusscan or the security suite?

Can you not reverse the mcafee settings. What did you do.

Uninstalling office seems extreeeeeme, uninstall mcafee first see if can
send, then reinstall mcafee.
