I receive emails fine no problem but cannot send them.

I get the following error message:

Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '554 Please check your SMTP server is set
to smtp.orangehome.co.uk. Further help is available at
http://help.orange.co.uk/sessionBegin.do?solutionId=kb4473', Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 554, Error Number: 0x800CCC6F

I am using an IMAP server so that I can send emails from anywhere.

Cheers

IMAP allows you to RECEIVE on any machine anywhere without fear of your
email downloading to and becoming a permanent part of the machine you're
using, it does NOT allow you to send from anywhere. You must still either
use the SMTP (sending) server of the ISP you're connected to, or use some
other port than 25, provided your home ISP has set an alternate port and
security up for this purpose. For more on this see:

Part of the error message is missing, including the server name.
Right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.

Well, the error message is quite definitive.
Change your SMTP server to smtp.orangehome.co.uk.
