Unable to see Workgroup

I have a laptop computer running windows 2000 in one
workgroup and an desktop running windows 98 in another.
Sometimes when I go to Microsoft Windows Networks (in
entire networks on the 2000 laptop) I can see both the
workgroups but sometime when I go there I can only see
the workgroup the laptop is in and the other workgroup
disappears. Any solution would be appreciated.
