unable to run Windows Vista Upgrade Advistor

I just download the latest version of the Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor. It
told me to install the following files, mxsml6 and dotnetfx and I installed
the 2 files before installing Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor. When I tried to
run it, it gave me the following message when it was running halfway:
"Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor has encountered a problem, If this problem
persists, download and install the latest version of the Windows Vista
Upgrade Advisor. I am sure this is the latest version. I have tried
reinstalling it and restarting my computer even though I am not told to
restart my computer but I still get that message. May I know how to solve
this?

Try asking on a Vista newsgroup, this one is for Win XP.

Well, don't install VISTA then.
It sucks anyway!
I have it on two of 250 machines.
I hate it so bad I am learning a non-MS OS to replace it with wherever
possible.
Vista looks like XP that was put in a blender, then mixed with epoxy and
poured in the toilet to dry...
Unless there is something in VISTA that you JUST HAVE TO HAVE, avoid it like
the plague.
The plague bothered less people...

This IS for XP. It advises the user as to what is needed to update from XP
to Vista.
