unable to restart

Did a check disk when prompted by a message that a dll
file in my c drive was corrupted. Then the check disk
prompt me to restart the pc.

And it just keep on trying to restart - blank screen,
windowsxp home edition, compaq, blank screen ..........

Tried safe mode, resrat from the last good configuration
etc. - still does not work.

Please help.

do u know the name and the location of the dll file on the
c drive that is causing the issue?Coz if u do then you can
easily download it on your computer.Just search google for
download of dll files and you shall have loads of sites
from where you may download them.

Hi,
It could be in my system 32. I could not recall the whole
file name as I expect it to be there during check disk.
