unable to reset admin password

hi, i was fixing my pc w/ xp pro from multiple viruses.
after the last reboot i got the windows blue screen with
the message that the registry had a problem.then i was
attempting to boot to disk to do a repair and noticed
that i had forgotten the administrator password. the
other problem is, i can not get to the log on window to
get my hints. what can i do to reset this. the reset disk
is made from the log on window and i can't get there.

You might try to reset the local Administrator
password with one of the methods mentioned here:
