Unable to remove Trojan

I read the post by "Tickd" re: unable to delete or
quarantine a file infected with a trojan. I use Norton
Antivirus software & tried removing it per their online
instructions for the Download.Trojan, and it didn't work.
I am also unable to locate the specific file that my
viruscan finds it located in " C:\Documents & Settings\
{my name} \local settings\Temporary Internet\Content.IE5
\G9QR89QR\UCSearch(1).CAB " & Norton also tells me it's a
compressed file named UCSearch.ocx within above described
location. I also tried the removal instructions given
to "Tickd" by "Will Denny" & it didn't work. Now what?
My viruscan, firewall, and spyware/adware removal tools
are updated; I am at a loss of what to try next & sick of
researching for a solution to this problem. Hope someone
can help!

Unfortunately thats more of a ADware/Malware trojan (an
internet spy)

The combination of these 2 programs should help you out.

www.lavasoftusa.com (Download Ad-aware here)
and
http://www.safer-networking.org/ (Download Spybot S&D
V1.2 here)

In the case of BOTH...its very important to UPDATE THEM
WITH THEIR BUILT-IN UPDATE TOOLS. They work like
antivirus and need the updated detections. You may find
more then just your 1 downloader trojan. When they finish
their scans remember to check off everything they find to
remove them.
