unable to remove deleted messages from inbox

Mark Martin

After deleting a message in my inbox, all it does is make
it go gray and put a red line through it, but it doesn't
send it to the deleted items folder. I can even move the
file to the deleted items, and empty the deleted items,
but it is still in my inbox. Any ideas why and how to get
rid of them?
