I use FP98 on a XP-home machine to manage several sites with same
hosting co. All publish with no problem. I have made new site on same
set-up and when I try tp publish to my hosting co's new server located
in a different city as the servers all my other sites are on, I get
the following error message:
Server error: An error occured accessing your FrontPage web files.
Authors-if authoring against a web server, please contact the
webmaster for this server's site. WebMastters-please see the server's
system log for more details. [OK button]
My hosting co says they have FP2002 SE installed and is eager to
figure out why I can't publish--can anyone help? Thanks in advance.
Lundy

Is this server a Unix/Linux server, if so, the FP2002 SE no longer supports the use of FP98 as
client.

Yes it is, and my hosting co was reading me MSknowledgebase info
(didn't mention OS I don't think, at least the parts he read to me)
that stated 2002 SE was backwards compatible so we did not understand
what our problem was--thank you for this info, I will forward on to my
hosting co.
Thanks--Lundy

If you where hosted on a Windows IIS server, then it would not be an issue.
