Unable to Print in PowerPoint

When I try to print slides in PowerPoint, my printer says it has an error &
PowerPoint begins to hang/freeze. I'm able to print from PowerPoint when I
print from notes view, but I've not been able to from any other view. I'm
using Office Professional Edition 2003. I have no other problems with
Office, just with PowerPoint. Does anyone have any suggestions about what I
should do? Has anyone had this problem before? Anything would be
appreciated.

What printer and what's the exact error message?

Does this happen on all presentations or just some?
All slides or just some?
Does it happen if you start a new blank presentation, add a few words of text
to the title and print?

Try the following:

- Help, Check for Updates in PPT. Apply any suggested updates.
- Help, Detect and Repair
- Check the printer manufacturer's site for updated drivers and install them
if available
- If no updated drivers are available, try removing and reinstalling your
printer driver
