unable to play news clips from a local TV channel website

when a click on a news clip, uploads the video player, stops at loading video
and nothing else happens. I can see the video player screen but no picture or
sound. Any suggestions. I've downloaded Windows Media 11 but to no avail.
Does not give me any error messages, it just stays at "loading..."

Maybe you have a firewall blocking it.

For example: in ZoneAlarm you have
to go to...Program Control...and give
permission to your media player.
