unable to open svchost32.exe

Hi,

A friend of mine is running Windows 2000. I guess he
configure his computer to automatically look for updates
when he restarts the PC. When he does this, however, he
gets a message saying "Update - */run: unable to
open 'svchost32.exe' (line 4, nvnav32g.dll)

If anyone has an idea why this might be happening, I'd
really appreciate it.
