Unable to Open Registry

Whenever I try to open my registry, it will open for
about 2 seconds, then close. This is quite annoying. I
have scanned my PC, fot trojans, for viri, and a general
scan using Norton WinDoctor, and everything comes up
clean...I hope someone can help me out. Thanks

click start,go to run,typ REGEDIT
 
On the computer in question, I'm guessing it will open for about 2 seconds! :-)
