Unable to open Outlook 2003

I am unalbe to open Outlook 2003. The error message that I receive is that
Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close. I have tried
reinstalling Outlook but I get the same error message. The only option I can
think of is to uninstall Outlook and then reinstalling the program. The only
problem is that I am afraid that I will loose all of my email information.

Is there anyway to resolve this problem short of uninstalling Outlook and
then reinstalling? If not how do I avoid loosing my data if I need to
completely remove the program?

Before you do anything, I recommend that you take a backup of your
Personal Folders File.

To backup your settings (accounts etc.) you can use the Save My Settings
Wizard (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/826809).

Try Detect and Repair to see if it fixes your problem
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/821593).

Try running the Inbox Repair Tool against your PST (Start | Programs |
Microsoft Office | Office Tools | Inbox Repair Tool).
