I am having this same problem. I try to open up the details of a meeting on
someone's calendar and I get the error "Can't open this item. Unable to open
the free/busy information. You do not have sufficient permission to perform
this operation on this object." I only get this error on a few calendars
that I am reviewing. There are others I don't have the problem with. What is
the setting on those that I CAN NOT review?

Thanks for your help.

Hello Noel

This Solution fix my problem.

Close all Outlook, that are sharing that calendar. Make sure no one is using
Outlook.

In AD, open user>properties of that User from where this problem came in.
Go to>exchange advance> open mailbox permissions>check Read Permission and
Fullmailbox Access> and Press OK

Log into that user domain account.
Open Outlook using this command
Start>Run>Outlook.exe /cleanfreebusy > press enter

Now log into another user account that is sharing that same calendar.
Open outlook from Run menu with same command.
Now you are able to open shared calendar.

Note: When you complete above Process,
Logoff from both accounts and In AD change permission to read only (uncheck
“fullmailbox†permission).
Now tell all users to close their Outlook and log off from Domain and login
again to reflect the changes.

I am not an Outlook administrator. We have about 100 people using Outlook in
my bldg. There are only a few people that have something set that you can
not view details of a meeting. Is there another way to be able to do this?
