I have my assistant delegated as editor on my calendar but when she access my
calendar from her Outlook session she can see my calendar but can not add an
appointment. When she trys to add and appointment she gets an error box that
says "Unable to open free/busy information". Other assistance in the office
with the same delegation have no problem adding appointments to my calendar.

Any help will be appreciated.

Flyboy, I am having the EXACT same issues. I just added a new assistant to
one of our attorneys. She even took the place of another one that did not
have this issue, but now when she tries to edit or add a new calendar event,
she gets the error. She can reboot and then it may or may not work, but even
if it does, it does not last very long.

I am unable to find anything on the web or tech net that has fixed the
issue. I am running Outlook XP with SP3. I will continue to search, if I
find anything, I will post. Please do the same. I wish I was posting a
solution :)

Jim,

I do not know if this will help but it seems to have resolved our issue for
the last week.

I removed the delegates from both individuals in their respective Outlook
settings. Then closed and reopened the Outlook sessions on each person's
computer. Then added the Delegate to one of the individuals Outlook settings
and checked to make sure the person that was delegated could perform the
calendaring task as assigned. Once that was working I added the other person
as a delegate on the other person's computer and verified that their
delegation was working.

Since doing this procedure everything has been working correctly. I don't
know why it broke, or how it broke but hopefully the solution will work for
you.

SYMPTOMS
When you use the meeting planner to view another person's free/busy time,
you may receive the following error message:
Unable to load free/busy information
CAUSE
This behavior may occur because there is a problem with the other person's
published free/busy information.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, refresh the free/busy information by running
Outlook with the /CleanFreeBusy command-line switch on the computer that is
experiencing problems publishing free/busy information. To do this: 1. Click
Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type outlook.exe /cleanfreebusy.
3. Click OK.
