Unable to network - node type trouble?

I am unable to network a computer and have previously
experienced this same problem. After reviewing the
response from my previous post at
http://communities.microsoft.com/NewsGroups/previewFrame.a
sp?

(e-mail address removed)%253E, I again
find that DhcpNodeType is in the registry key as
mentioned in the response. I deleted the key however
this time it does not fix my networking problem. Before
deleting the DhcpNodeType key, the node type was listed
as Peer to Peer. As you see, now is shows unknown.

I can access the Internet and can ping to the troubled
computer from another, but cannot ping from the troubled
computer to another on the network. I can ping yahoo.com
however.

I'm wondering two things: First what is the remaining
problem this time and second, what keeps causing this to
occurr. Any ideas?
