Unable to Manage workstations over network

Guest

We've just started migrating our workstations from Windows 2000 to winXP Pro
and discovered that we cannot manage the workstation (from My computer ->
Manage ->Computer Managment(local)-> right mouse and select connect to
computer).
We get connection failed when we attempt to connect. We've turned off the
firewalls on the workstations, but that hasn't helped. Can anyone help me?

Does the user that you are logged on locally have administrative access on
the machine you are trying to manage remotely? Are these computers in a
domain?
