Unable to login to clear pagefile.sys problem

Steve

Any suggestions to the following predicament. I'm Running
W2k Sp4 and when I login as Administrator I get a message
advising my pagefile is missing or too small. I click Ok,
then instead of continuing to log me in and allowing me to
attempt to resolve, I'm taken back to the login screen.

I tried adding my hard my drive to another system and
creating a pagefile then retrying back in my computer. I
also tried setting the pagefile to 0, tried deleting both
my pagefile and temppf.sys from within Recovery Console.
Tried adding the SYSTEM group and making sure Everyone had
access. Temppf.sys keeps getting recreated and I can't get
logged in to run regedt32 to change the location of my
pagefile.
