Unable to log on to Win2k after upgrade from Win98.

I can't log into Windows 2k. I get to the log in screen, enter username and
password, it is accepted, then it starts trying to load user setting and
after a few seconds the Saving your settings dialog box appears and then it
returns me back to the log in screen.


Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
 
It's always best to do a clean install, rather than an
upgrade. I hope you have made backups of your data.
I suggest you reinstall and this time do a format and
install.
 
While it is probably possible to resolve this problem
with a fair amount of work "under the bonnet", I agree
that a brand new installation of Win2000 would give
you a far better and more robust installation than
what you have now.
