unable to load bitmaps

My computer will restart after automatically installing updates. Several
times after it restarts the task bar is grey and every program shows up as
"unable to load bitmaps". System restore would fix the problem before but
now it shows that there is no checkpoint to go back to. Can anyone help?????

Are you using Windows Blinds?

Reinstall/Update to the most recent version if so.
