Brian

I've been trying to remedy this for quite some time, and
have been unsuccessful.

I've been using www.magelo.com as a test site.

I have Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1
Version: 6.0.2800.1106xpsp2.030422-1633
128-bit
Update Versions:; SP1; Q837009; Q832894; Q831167

I know this website works, as I've been to it before
using IE with the same install. I don't know if its
perhaps the order in which the patches were installed or
what.

I can use Opera or Mozilla and they will load the page
just fine.

Currently when I try to navigate to www.magelo.com using
IE, it brings up a File Download dialog. Oddly enough,
I've saved it, and can uncompress it using tar/gz and its
looks fine.

I'm not sure what to do... been searching everywhere for
a solution. I've also tried Q822002 and have had no luck.

I've had the same problem when using IE 6, but when I enabling both "Use
HTTP 1.1" and "Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections" in Internet
Options (Advanced Tab) it fixed any problem I had using IE with gzip
encoded websites.

Wow, thanks... saved me lots of headaches!
