Unable to launch Access

I recently received some automatic security updates for XP SP2. It seems
from that point, I cannot launch my Access program. I have Office Pro 2003.
Word, Excel, Outlook seem to be ok, but the Access program will not launch.
I have the MSACCESS.EXE file in my directory.

When I attempt to launch Access, I get a brief popup saying 'Preparing to
Install', but the message quickly goes away.

When I attempt to 'Repair' the Office program, I get a message under the
Windows Installer heading, that the installation source for this product is
not available and I need to verify that the source exists and that I can
access it.

I'm thinking something happened when I received these updates but I have no
idea what to look for.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Try inserting the Office Pro 2003 disk and select the repair option when the
setup wizard begins.

Thanks,

I did that, but I get the same message under Windows Installer heading, that
the installation source for this product is not available and that I need to
verify that the source exists and that I can access it. How do I verify this?

I'm afraid to uninstall and reinstall the Office product for fear of being
unable to reinstall for the same reasons, and then not only being without
Access, but also without Word, Excel, etc.

Post your question in the Access newsgroup where you'll have the
attention of Access experts. Here is a list of all the MS newsgroups so
you can find the one(s) dealing with Access:
