Unable to join the domain

Hello,

When i try to join a workstation to the domain, I get this.

The domain name A4I might be a NetBIOS domain name. If this is the case,
verify that the domain name is properly registered with WINS.

If you are certain that the name is not a NetBIOS domain name, then the
following information can help you troubleshoot your DNS configuration.

The following error occurred when DNS was queried for the service location
(SRV) resource record used to locate a domain controller for domain A4I:

The error was: "DNS name does not exist."
(error code 0x0000232B RCODE_NAME_ERROR)

The query was for the SRV record for _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.A4I

Common causes of this error include the following:

- The DNS SRV record is not registered in DNS.

- One or more of the following zones do not include delegation to its child
zone:

A4I
.. (the root zone)

For information about correcting this problem, click Help.

I got a SRV record in all _msdcs section.

When I use Network ID and I put the dns name in the domain name, he tell me
that an account for my comp exist and if I want to use it (correct cause I
already created it in ADUC). Then I click yes and I get this error.

Also, we have a DFS and I cannot connect my dfs user
netbiosdomainname\dfs-root I have to use domain.com\dfs-root. Otherwise it
doesn't work.

I think I have a problem with my wins.. but where ??

Anyone an Idea ?

It would be helpful if you mentioned what OS the domain is running on and
what OS the client you are trying to join to the domain is running.

OK, problem solved..

On one of the NIC, the file and print sharing was disabled.
Re enabled it solved the problem.
