Unable to join domain anymore

I have a Toshiba Satelllite M40 laptop with XP Pro that is on the NT domain
(or was on the domain). However, even though I can still log into the laptop
as the domain user I can't see any of the domain resources. I can't log as
another doamin user either.

This is the second time this has happened. The first time after spending
several hours on it I had to reformat and restore back with restore CD. Once
I did that it worked fine for about a month. I've even tried setting it back
to just the Workgroup instead of a domain and then re-joining the domain but
it wouldn't.

The only thing that has been installed before this problem started was the
Verizon EZ Access card. However, after uninstalling it we were still unable
to join the domain.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks, David Hilderbrand

You now need to speak your the domain administrator so that they can remove
your laptop from the domain. After this is done, you should be able to
re-join the domain successfully.

try ( sometimes the following may help, sometimes not)
- setting auto IP with dhcp, hard restart (shutdown and cold start laptop)

if it still does not work
- deleting the local are network
- reboot
- add LAN back hard restart

if it still does not work
- go to local area network property and uninstall tcp, windows network
client
- hard restart
- reinstall those two components on the LAN and reconfigure
- restart

that should take care of it. if not, sorry I don't know what else you can do
besides re-install OS
