join domain

The Network ID button is not present under the Computer name tab in the
System Properties dialog box. I am unable to join the system to a domain
because of this. The netdom command can also be used from the command line
apparently. However, when I try to use this I receive a "command not
recognized" error message. Anyone have any ideas what I'm missing? Thanks.

Thank you. I believe we have Serv2K3 Admin tools. I'll give this a try.
For future reference, and my education, do you have any idea why the Network
ID button would be missing in Sys Properties? Most of the articles available
regarding this point to the Network Id Wizard. Seems odd that it would be
missing.

Another thread in this forum mentioned that XP Home Edition can't join a
domain. I double-checked the OS and sure enough it was a Home Edition.
Simple problems befuddle simple minds. I never used this resource before,
but I'll be back. Thanks for your help.
